Training Classes Students will learn Rules and Regulations, Basic Electronics, Operating Amateur Radios, and Radio Frequency Safety. Those earning an entry level license will be able to communicate with other hams world wide, and to participate in the Amateur Radio Emergency Service, an important part of Homeland Security. Members of Search and Rescue, The Washington Pilots Association, Neighborhood Watch Community Emergency Response Team (CERT), and other emergency groups are especially invited to attend these classes and earn their ham radio licenses. Class size will be limited to 32 candidates.
